PRAYER GUIDE
2012 marks 44 years since Dr. King gave his final prophecy. On October 16, 2011, a monument on the National Mall in Washington DC was dedicated in his honor. January 16, 2012 officially begins the next 25 years of the Federal Holiday honoring him. He is the only Prophet with this honor and this honor now serves as a Testament of Faith for Spiritual Leaders everywhere who are walking in these same footsteps. What better time than the 83rd Birthday Anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and YES- this year it is a Sunday- than to think on and engage the words of Christ? Jesus said- A house/kingdom/nation divided against itself- CANNOT STAND- The only way to achieve success in the Kingdom of God is to adhere to this teaching. The Declaration and Mandate from our God to our Families-Churches-Nation and World as we approach the next 25 years of the Federal Holiday honoring his Prophet, the Rev. Dr. MLK JR, is- UNDIVIDED- Let's all declare, do so and forever remain...” Arthur L. Mission
Blessed be God for each prayer leader and participant who joins us in this Supreme Day of Prayer. Our anchor leadership team starts with Hunt Memorial Cathedral of Faith, The College of Aspiring Artists and TwobyTwo Prayer. We are grateful to have the National Day of Prayer and Prayer Surge Now and others who are joining daily as anchor and co-anchor support. We are “undivided” offering prayers of thanksgiving to God for those who made great sacrifices for our generation to live in the true image and total fulfillment of what God has ordained for us and especially for those who worked for 18 years to insure that this day would manifest. We are engaging a one-hour Prayer Watch to honor God on a day that honors his Prophet(s).
This assignment invites and challenges the body of Christ, institutions, organizations and communities to come together in prayer at 11 o’clock AM for one hour in each time zone across the U.S.A in honor of Dr. King’s role as a Pastor, Prophet, and Teacher. Sunday morning at 11AM is the time which Dr. King said was the most segregated hour of the week. This day of tribute and prayer contends that this shall no longer be and that we are progressed.
